Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner

Primary Care 24 (PC24) are excited to share the position of Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) within our Out of Hours Services.

Salary: £60,504 - £72,293 per annum (based on 37.5 hours) plus unsociable enhancements

Location: Wavertree Technology Park, Wavertree, Liverpool & Alder Hey Children's Hospital

What will I be doing?

Within your professional boundaries you will assess, diagnose and provide advice, care and management to patients presenting with undiagnosed or undifferentiated illness via telephone consultations, or face to face assessments for patients requiring home visits. Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking face to face and telephone triage consultations
  • Interpreting pathology / radiology results/reports
  • Prescribing and reviewing medication
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating an effective management plan for the patient

Shifts Available

  • Friday: Wavertree Triage from 18:30 to 23:00 (4.5 hours)
  • Saturday: Wavertree Triage from 09:00 to 14:00 (5 hours) and 14:00 to 18:00 (4 hours)
  • Sunday: Wavertree Triage from 09:00 to 13:00 (4 hours) and 14:00 to 19:00 (5 hours)

What do I need?

You will be an experienced APNP who is able to deliver quality individualised care to our patients with a high level of autonomy underpinned by the four pillars of Clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research.

You will have a master’s in advanced clinical and able to undertake comprehensive assessments, diagnose, plan and prescribe medication. You will have experience of working in the acute sector, urgent/emergency services environment, or out of hours services at a senior level and undertake comprehensive face to face clinical examination via telephone consultations and face to face individual reviews.
